Bilingual

I read, write and speak English fluently, at the native level. I have been educated and have worked in the United States for over 30 years. I have been a professional in different industries and careers, which has given me an ample specialized language. I immersed myself and lived in the culture and have experienced the real business life in the USA; this gives me an advantage in my translations and interpretations, as they are done with ownership of the meaning behind the words and expressions.  


Because of this firsthand experience, I have an intimate understanding of the United Stated culture and its idiosyncrasies. I understand the slang, idioms and cultural references, so I can translate the ideas and concepts behind, not just the words. 


I read, write and speak fluent, Spanish as a native being my mother tongue. I was raised in El Salvador until I left to study and live in the USA. I have a strong understanding of the Latin culture as it is my own and have strong ties to it. I also understand the idiosyncrasies and people’s ways of thinking and expressing.  

Professional Experience

For the last 10 years I have worked as a Bilingual Translator and Interpreter servicing NGOs, Nonprofits, Academia, Churches, Government, as well as, private businesses. I am also an English Coach and work with business professionals and university students. Prior to my career in Interpretation and Translation.


I worked for several major US corporations, medium and small size businesses. I was involved in the fields of Communication, Advertising and Marketing; Business and Finance; Purchasing, Computing and Technology.


I have worked with several clients in the translation of financial and purchasing manuals; financial reports, security manuals; appeals to solicit funds from donors, Terms of Reference (TORs), project proposals, reports on climate change and sustainable development, press releases, brochures, power point presentations, books and other marketing material.


Some of the documents and business publications  I have translated have been between 50 and 300 pages, containing tables 

and graphs, and requiring specialized language in climate change, sustainable development, human rights, finance, marketing, 

and technology.
